The space in between isn’t empty. It’s what gives everything else its shape.
This week’s Monochrome Madness Challenge is hosted by Stupidity Hole, having the theme, THE SPACE BETWEEN.
There’s something quietly powerful about the space in between. Between land and water, shadow and light, buildings and sky.
It’s the gap where the canal meets the shore.

It’s the quiet space in narrow alleyways or the suspended sculpture above a laneway.

It is the space in between where the birds can freely land on poles and roofs.

It’s the small shaded gap between the buildings

It’s the skyline rising against a glowing sky, the outline of towers and steeples separated by just enough space to let the sky light slip through.

These are so good Teresa 😀
Thanks Brian.
Oh, you really captured the theme!
Thanks so much Dawn.
These are wonderful Teresa. So many great images. I do love the clothesline.
Thanks Leanne, the clothesline looks cool especially that it’s divided into two.
Beautiful observation! 🌌🖤 Indeed, the space between makes everything else visible and special. Each photograph carries a sense of calm and balance in that quiet between light and shadow. 📸✨
You explained it so well. Thank you.
A lovely thoughtful post.
Thanks Margaret, glad you think so.
