The soothing sound of the Wind Chimes

Wind chimes are often seen as symbols of good luck and prosperity, with their spiritual meaning tracing back to ancient civilizations that believed in their ability to ward off negative energy and evil spirits through their soothing melodies.

I find great joy in the peaceful and harmonious sound produced by the wind chimes in my garden.

I used to live next door to people who had a very large bamboo wind chime on their verandah on my side. Some days the clunk clunk clunking drove me crazy 🤪

Oh because it is big. Mine is small and the sound is not as harsh. 😂😂😂 Maybe I have to ask my neighbours!

I have a small ceramic one of butterflies. It tinkles 🙂

I like them. They can be soothing and relaxing— except on extremely windy days. 😂
    Great response to the challenge.

I have to tell you, I am so glad to see your inspiration. I love wind chimes and think they kind of connect us with nature. Your explanation was wonderful. I DO agree with some of the others, they can get loud with too many or stormy weather, but I am all in with them. I especially love the photo with the flower running under it. Very nice. Thanks for joining Teresa. You sure have had some fabulous travel as of late.

Thanks a lot for liking this Donna. Thanks also for the topic because to tell you the truth, this is the first post in a long while that I have not taken from my gallery. I grabbed my camera and took some shots for this prompt. So happy about that.

Very nice, Teresa. That makes my day. I was hoping it might inspire others to do the same. I think with this challenge you can even sit in your house close your eyes and listen. There are so many sounds around us…worth photographing.

Excellent subject for the week Teresa! I too love wind chimes but only have one outside my home. It was a gift from my brother and includes a hummingbird, in honor of our father for whom it was a favorite creature. You post reminded me of that gift and how much I treasure it.

That’s a great way to remind you of family every time the wind blows. ❤️
