A place of residence for French kings from the 15th to the 19th centuries and is linked to the history of France.
These are some of the outdoor benches and doors that can be found in the Chateau d’Amboise in France.
Inside the castle you can find countless doors, hallways, staircases all leading up to rooms and large halls.
This is Henri II’s chamber with his ornate four poster bed. Henri II and his wife, Catherine de Medici, raised their children at Amboise.
In the main part of the castle there are many rooms to explore. This is called the Orleans Apartments which are decorated lavishly and has vivid red colour. It also has Empire style chairs.
Walking up to the roof.
And going down the winding tunnel to the exit door.
Gorgeous shots, Teresa! They really give you a sense of the atmosphere of this place & time.

Oh yes Dora…such magnificence, really! Thanks for the visit.
It must have been fun touring inside the castle. I love stone structures, and this is fantastic. I love the photo of the two doors and right angles and on different levels. I think if I grew up in this place, that’s where I would play. Thanks for sharing these lovely photos with us.
Oh you will love it then…maybe you will even get lost in some of them. There’s many tunnels all around too. Thanks for liking it Dan.
Thank you for taking us to this beautiful castle.
My pleasure 👍🏼
All a bit fabulous, isn’t it?
Yes, definitely magnificent and fabulous 👍🏼 Thanks Jo!
I love seeing castles, but I also think about how the “normal” people lived and how much money and time from them it took so that some could lived in places like this.
janet
I know Janet, that’s the down side of it.
That tunnel to the exit was a nice way to wrap up the post of doors chairs and so much art!
True, lucky we decided to go in. Thanks 🙏🏻
