St Paul’s Cathedral is a striking Anglican church that anchors Melbourne’s busiest intersection, standing directly opposite Federation Square and just across from the iconic Flinders Street Station. Built between 1880 and 1931 in the neo-Gothic style, the cathedral is one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks and remains Victoria’s most visited place of worship.

Light is also brought into the space through the stained glass processional doors designed by Janusz Kuzbicki.

A wonderful building Teresa. Great photos 😀
It is the lighting that makes the difference. Thanks Brian.
Oh wow so beautiful.
Thanks so much. Glad I looked at it from the outside and from the i side
What wonderful stained-glass doors, and what a difference between the outside and inside effect.
It was worth it having a peep inside
I love those stained glass doors, they are stunning 😊
Thanks, they definitely are.
Those doors are amazing, Teresa. Thanks for bringing such an important building to our attention.
Sometimes it is good to be a tourist in your own city.
That’s so true.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen whole doors made from stained glass – they’re gorgeous!
Glad you think so Sarah. I haven’t noticed its beauty before because so many tourists stand in front of it.
They are great doors. I haven’t looked at them for some time.
I just get to see them when relatives come over for a visit.
Wow! That is amazing stained glass. 😊
I agree and thanks Pepper.
These are pretty stained glass doors that look great no matter the weather. I really like your close-up of the glass and door handles.
Thanks Denny. Glad you liked my cropping.
Thank you for these door photos. They are among the most beautiful I’ve seen.
That is so nice of you to say Maureen. Thank you.
Woweee! I have never seen stained glass doors of this magnitude and beauty before. Thank you Teresa. I thoroughly enjoyed your photos. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it Suzette. It is quite impressive if I should say so myself
