Though they may appear bright and convenient, these electric scooters on Melbourne’s roads can be quite frustrating. Their presence leads to unpredictability, making navigation, commuting or even just plain walking more challenging. But the positive side of this is saving on petrol. So I guess we just have to bear with it for the greater good.
I am linking this to Becky’s Seven in September.
huge debate in England over them as to whether they are restricted to pavements or roads, and then there is the battery nightmare. Quite a few people have had house fires because of them. Fun though where they are safe, and make a fabulous seven
Sometimes they really are a nightmare. But in all things there’s pros and cons. Thanks for commenting, Becky!
Same here. A menace. They are not supposed to be on the road but on the pavement (poor pedestrians). They also drive on the cyclist lane (shouldn’t but do) and are completely unpredictable and ridiculously fast. They also stand around at the most inconvenient places. Either abandoned directly in front of somebody’s door, particularly apartment buildings, so that people who want to use the door have to move the blerry things. Or in the middle of a country lane, with no house, no bus stop or anything else close by. The first ones I noticed I thought: Ok, they probably ran out of power. But there is too many of them – there must be a different explanation. Except I don’t have any idea what.
Haha it seems your feelings are so strong against this. As for me, there are no scooters where I live only when we go to Melbourne, usually just on some weekends. So I really don’t get to see much of these during the week. But I know how you feel. Thanks for the comment my dear. ❤️
I don’t see many. But the ones I see on my bike lane are often a thread. 😉
This is so perfect
Despite all the cons
True haha
Thanks Hammad. It was a good find for the theme, right!
Perfect find for the theme! Here in the city I live near to I see them on the road without the helmet…and yes just recently someone died. Which, while it is sad, doesn’t surprise me as they act like they own the road and there is zero protection. I also dislike how they are “littered” all over everywhere. But as a photo it is excellent! Bernie
