Paint the town (and windows) red

The Cardrona Hotel is one of New Zealand’s most beloved historic landmarks. With its vintage character, mountain backdrop, and deep roots in local history, it’s a place that captures both the eye and the imagination.

Next to it is a red vintage petrol pump, windows of a red phone booth and charming old cottages.

What a photogenic building and setting this is! Does the hotel still operate as such?

    1. Teresa says:

Yes, the Cardrona Hotel operates as a hotel, offering accommodation and also featuring an in-house bar and restaurant. But too busy, so we opted to go somewhere else.
