“Joy comes to us in ordinary moments. We risk missing out when we get too busy chasing down the extraordinary.” – Brene Brown
The beauty of a curled up fern …
or the texture of a snail’s shell…
or some unexpected tiny growth in plants…
Or the texture of a dead leaf…
Or a sunburst slowly creeping behind the roses…
For this week’s Lens Artist Photo Challenge hosted by I.J. the theme is Ordinary.
Thank you for that response to the challenge. You have brought together a beautiful set of little things in nature that we tend to overlook, but which we really should look at again. I love the fern spiral and the dried leaf. Lovely macros of tiny vegetable growths, and a great study of the snail.
Thanks I.J. Since the pandemic and the lockdown, I haven’t had the chance to look at a topic and then take photos for it. So thanks for this, because this week is my first after a long while to go about searching for photos which is not in my archives. ❤️
Glad to have that response. I spent my lockdown days cooped up with my camera in the flat, taking photos of ordinary things like scrubbers and washing.
