One Photo… Two Ways

For LAPD Lens Artist Photo Challenge

For Jez’s Water Water Everywhere

My first photo is a rough rendition of boats in the Vltava, the longest river in the Czech Republic. This is just my trial of the Adobe Paint Can App … tried my best 😊 but I think it’s a bit of a fail.

A body of water in Palawan, Philippines with bancas. Banca boats, also locally known as Bangka, are the primary water transportations of locals in the Philippines. These are commonly used for fishing, transporting goods and island hopping tours.

Edited and unedited versions of the same church in Budapest. It was an overcast day so the colours of the whole place were just dull. A little bit of editing was all it needed to make it come alive.

For Cee’s FOTD Challenge

Here is a bunch of Everlastings that I cropped to macro. Not really sure which one is better but I am leaning more on the macro as there is a clear distinction of the colours, yellow and green

Haha Yes it was fun. I did it manually through the screen of my ipad so sort of a stress reliever. Had a different effect everytime. Thanks for stopping by.

        1. Teresa says:

It is just an app. It is fun!

Great series. I like the painting rendition. Not a fail! I like the Budapest cleanup too. I used to have so many old photos of ‘gray’ days I could not do anything with. Love digital!

    1. Teresa says:

Thanks John…yes with digital so many things can be corrected.
Happy that you liked my try on the boat!

  13. Toonsarah says:

I disagree – that painterly edit on the boat photo is very effective 😃

    1. Teresa says:

Yessss. It was my first try so maybe I can try it again for other challenges.

  14. Tina Schell says:

Well Teresa, I must strongly disagree. I absolutely loved your Paint Can edit. In fact that’s one I’d hang on my wall – and I’m pretty darned fussy about what I hang on my wall! Lovely post from start to finish.

    1. Teresa says:

Haha well that is one lovely comment for my ego. But seriously, thanks for the wonderful comment. I try every week to find the best photo that I have for the challenge despite not being able to travel far. Have a great week Tina!

      1. Tina Schell says:

        You too Teresa!

  16. Fantastic post, Teresa 👏 I liked the way the paint effect came out, almost abstract in quality 😃

    1. Teresa says:

      Thanks Jez!

  17. You are an artist, Teresa. Thank you so much for your support of my posts. (I had such a double-take when I saw your name – it is the name of my late sister. I thought she was calling from heaven! – all the best, will
