There’s no set theme for this week’s Monochrome Madness Challenge, so I’ve decided to feature monochrome shots from my travels.
Lugano is a charming city set beside the shimmering Lake Lugano and surrounded by mountains, located in the Swiss region of Ticino, right near the border with Italy.
The market in Lugano is a delight for the senses.

Wandering through the old town’s narrow alleyways, you’ll find charming boutiques, hidden courtyards, and cafés spilling onto cobbled lanes.

And then, there’s the lake. Calm, blue, and endlessly inviting, Lake Lugano seems to reflect the soul of the city itself—peaceful yet full of life.

I am also linking this to Jude’s Anniversary Bench Challenge

I have always wanted to visit the Swiss and Italian lakes. Such wonderful scenery. And much as I like B&W photography I am glad that you decided to show the benches in colour.
Well I am usually a Colour kind of girl and this one in particular is definitely better in colour. Thanks Jude.
These look amazing Teresa, love the monochrome.
Thanks Leanne, love the seaside town.
Always somewhere I’ve wanted to visit ..the photos look like old fashioned postcards
One day Ali.
Wonderful photos Teresa. They look so good in monochrome
Thanks Brian, glad it turned out OK in b&w.
My memories of Lugano are in full colour, Teresa, but I didn’t get to see much more than the shoreline so thanks for the details xx
Oh yes Jo, such a lovely town…more so in colour.
