HOBART, TASMANIA
Since the 1980s, Bidencopes Lane has served as a vibrant gathering spot for local graffiti and street artists.
In 2019, a section of the lane was transformed into Hobart’s first designated street art permission wall. With a permit, artists are free to create their work on this wall, temporarily leaving their mark until it’s overtaken by the next wave of creativity.

What a fun street!
There’s more to this. Wait for it haha
😊
Fabulous finds Teresa
Thanks Brian. I almost missed it because I was already tired. But perseverance is the key.
The perfect combination. I like the idea of artists licenced to paint – it is all illegal here in Bristol apart from permission from wall owners or commissions. Great to see a couple of Vaughn Bode characters in amongst the art work.
Yes, at least in there, they have the freedom. I think the Hosier Lane in Melbourne is also the same. Oh but Bristol murals are definitely another level. Thanks for commenting, Scooj!
These are so fun, Teresa. My favorite id the first one with the red (doodling). That’s kind of what it looks like to me.
Haha thanks.
Nice graffiti artwork.
For sure 👍
I am a huge fan of street art so I like them all Teresa. Love the one with painted duck with a captain’s hat and the lettering on the painted door says (I think) “Please do not paint this door”
We are the same. I just don’t know when my love of Streetart started but I try to look for it everywhere I go. Thanks Suzette for stopping by.
You are most welcome, Teresa! Happy Monday!
So many cool doors among the colorful street art. Nice!
Thanks a lot Brenda.
I like that it’s a designated area for artistic expression. So vibrant! Thanks for sharing.

I know right.
