Jack, Pat and I decided to go on a long, extended, Public Holiday weekend away to Hobart in Tasmania.
Upon my arrival, I came across an adorable Tasmanian Devil public art installation near the luggage carousel. Crafted by Tasmanian artist Ruth Waterhouse, this piece is made of cast bronze.
I later learned that it has accessibility features designed for the visually impaired. By gently tickling the devils under their chins, one can feel the subtle bumps of A-grade braille, adding a thoughtful touch to this charming artwork.
I am linking this to Natalie’s PPAC
What a brilliant idea!
Really unique.
Charming. Especially because of the accessibility additions.
Yes, that’s the one that makes it unique.
Very cute. Hope you had a fab time in Hobart
Yes I am having a great time, thanks Ali. Hobart is just so uphill and downhill!
Those are brilliant!
Definitely… thanks!
Beautiful art installation, Teresa. I love the details on the suitcases. Thank you for your PPAC contribution. I hope you’ve had a wonderful time in Hobart.
I am still here, and I am having a great break from the usual happenings in my life.
I agree with you about the suitcase. Thanks Natalie. ❤️
Oh, this is so lovely! And a great idea to incorporate the Braille in such a subtle way 🙂
Something quite different!
