Green and Blue

”Green grass, blue skies, yellow sun … we sure live colourful lives!”

Let me start with the colour BLUE and GREEN in nature. It is considered cool colours but when it is combined with the rays of sun it can be quite vivid and bright. For LAPC Lens Artist Photo Challenge

My daughter sent me this photo when she went on a camping trip to Coopers Creek in Gippsland … on the last time that temperature went to the 30’s before summer ended.

Bright silhouette of a tree amidst the blue skies in the Dandenong Mountains, Victoria.

Here are some greens and blues that I was able to find in my archives. This was from my past travels:

The medieval castle, with its walls still intact, located within the the modern city of Carcassonne.

The blue skies of Toledo… Over the medieval St Martin’s Bridge in Toledo, Spain.

In certain times of the day, the buildings and the skies look so blue and the water seems green in Venice.

The twin green towers of St Ann Parish in Budapest in contrast with the bright blue skies.

A blue and green street art covering the full walls of a shop in Melbourne.

I was supposed to put my photo with this wing mural in Tooradin, Victoria… but decided to put my husband’s instead. I was too short and the wings just touched the tip of my shoulders…funny! This was taken a few years ago and it’s a pity that the wall has been painted over the last time that we went there last month.

That wing mural is fun! A shame that it is no longer there. But my favourite is your shot from Venice – the light is lovely and the distant buildings look like watercolours 🙂

Thanks so much for liking it Sarah. I thought that too about the faraway buildings that seemed to have a bit of mist.

Thanks so much Jo. I had taken lots of photos with wings and it’s always my husband who fits it perfectly haha. So now I have accepted reality.
