Doors in my own style

For Sofia’s Lens Artists challenge for this week, she is inviting us to look back at doors.

Not a secret at all—I’m totally addicted to doors. 😅 I’ve loved joining Dan’s Thursday Doors Challenge, and this one goes way back to my 2022 entry. I’ve come across so many colourful doors on my travels, but this time I thought I’d re-share a few that I actually sketched myself. A little different, but just as fun! Who else has a thing for doors? 🚪✨

Here are a few doors that was my entry for some of the art challenges in Instagram. Just as in WordPress where we have challenges and themes every week, Instagram also has the same. I just want to share with you some of the DOORS which I have sketched in my own style.

I sketched this door because of its details and it seems like such a welcoming door. This is the #doorofjuly , a challenge from @inkypaperhouse It is a door in Stockholm, Sweden… a place that I wish to visit one day. #drawdoorofmonth

Sketched on the 8th of July 2022.

A pretty French Restaurant in Paris for this month of August. A challenge from @trinketsetc.

Sketched on the 18th of August 2022

A challenge from @carlosrubinaster this is an old house in Porto which i decided to just colour the main house to put more emphasis to it.

Sketched on the 11th of July 2022

As a SPECIAL EVENT for the month of June, a challenge from @trinketsetc This is a pretty, colourful and vibrant doorway to celebrate this month’s inclusivity and diversity … a special rainbow art challenge.

Sketched on the 9th of June 2022

This is my version of A cute seafood restaurant in Clinton USA for @trinketsetc ‘s challenge.

Sketched on the 11th of May 2022

It was my first time joining @eureca1 for the whole hour of sketching. It’s either the tutor was too fast or I was too slow 😂😂😂 I was struggling to catch up. Maybe next time I will get better. #sgshopfrontchallenge

The next two are not challenges but I saw photos of washing lines and wanted to sketch it as a practice. I believe these are from Italy.

Sketched on the 26th of June 2022

A practice of washing lines. This is my “thing” as of this time. But maybe next week will be another theme. @clotheslinespoetry

Sketched on the 22nd of September 2022

Another door sketch that was chosen as the badge for that year was one I created.

A collage of the original doors that inspired my sketches.
