Colour in food always makes me want to eat. Bright reds, fresh greens, golden browns — they almost call out to you before you even take a bite. But what happens when the colour disappears? When everything is in black and white, will you still feel tempted to taste it?
This week’s Lens Artist Photo Challenge is from Egidio with the topic of “Colour in Black & White,” and it really made me think. Without colour, you start noticing the textures, the shapes, the little details you usually miss. It becomes less about how the food looks and more about how it makes you feel.

I can easily imagine the colours here, so these shots work well for the challenge. However I think I would prefer many of them in colour, especially the fruit and veg.
