‘They said that, of course, Budapest is beautiful. But it is in fact almost ludicrously beautiful.’ – Anthony Bourdain
It was dark when we got to Budapest. I wanted to freshen up a bit before going on our dinner cruise when I decided to just look out of our bedroom window…and to my surprise… this is what I saw!!!
I was so happy, because in the previous 2 hotels that we stayed in, there was literally no view from our bedroom window but here at the Art’otel Budapest … it really made up for it.
Went on the Danube Illuminations Tour – Trafalgar. Food was delicious and presented beautifully. Aside from finger food, there were lots of hot meals that were served which had a dose of paprikash, which is the usual spice used in the Hungarian dishes.
After dinner, we all went on deck to have a view of Budapest at night with all its glory.
After dark, Budapest lights up. And we were all left speechless by this one of a kind experience. The architectural and historical buildings sparkle in the banks of the Danube River. Buda then Pest one will never get tired of taking photos from different angles. The Castle, the Parliament, Cathedral were all beautifully illuminated and it was all FANTASTIC!
Glowing indeed. Your photos are superb 😀 😀
Thanks Cee! Such magnificence.
Thanks for showing all this beauty of the city of Budepast.
My pleasure. Hope you liked it as much as I did!
What a beautiful way to see the city, Teresa!
It is always a great way to experience on water level! Thanks Jo ❤️
I love to see beautiful buildings like these illuminated at night, and seeing them from the water must have been extra special 🙂
It was indeed extra special. I wonder why I didn’t see this comment of yours previously.
Strange things happen sometimes with WP!
But I am using Jetpack now…maybe that made it worse, I don’t even know.
But this is a WP blog so subject to its vagaries I suspect!
Nice post 😄
Thank you!
