Pat just moved into her new place—still renting, but no more share house for her! She was super excited to show us around her neighbourhood so we could pick a spot to eat next time we visited. We wandered through a few nearby streets, and I noticed some cool front doors, mosaic public art, and even a few chairs out on front lawns. Happy to share it all here.
One must look within to discover what lies behind those doors.

One must look down to notice what others overlook, scattered across the pavement.
There’s a mosaic design in front of every house, though I’m not sure if the council put them in or if the owners did it themselves.

What a great neighbourhood, Teresa. I hope she’ll be happy there xx
I think she is. She’s always smiling haha Thanks Jo.
Lots of amazing doors!!!
Yes I was surprised to see them all. Thanks 🩷
Beautiful doors. I like the idea of tiles in front of the houses
Yes, same here 👍🏽 Thanks Brian.
What an interesting neighbourhood. No doubt you will be visiting regularly now
Yes, for sure. Thanks for commenting.
Ooh – some wonderful colourful doors this week, and I love the mosaics.
I know, the mosaics are such wonderful addition to otherwise boring pavement.
Cool neighborhood!
That’s the word for it. Thanks Nes.
What a wonderful area. That first photo, with the structure over the entrance, is intriguing. The 4th photo in the pull-up-a-seat group is my favorite. That’s a lovely scene. I could see sitting on that bench for a good long time on a warm afternoon.
It is not hard to find pretty locations. I am not into modern structures, I find these ones more inviting.
Those mosaics are so pretty – what a lovely idea!
It is a very creative idea. I want to go back and see if the other streets beside it are also as colourful. Thanks Sarah.
Looks like a lovely neighbourhood, Teresa. I love the mosaic tiles, especially the bouquet of flowers in a vase and the fish. Thank you for your public art share.
The bouquet is also my fave. Thanks Natalie.
Gosh those mosaics are so cheery.
Thanks. They really are
What a charming little town. It looks like a great place for an exploration.
Thanks Mama.
