ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
Observed on 25 April each year, ANZAC Day is a national remembrance in Australia & New Zealand honouring those who served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations, recognizing their contribution and suffering.
The Shrine of Remembrance is a war memorial in Melbourne which was built to honour the men and women of Victoria who served in World War I, but now functions as a memorial to all Australians who have served in any war.
Inside the Shrine of Remembrance
Thanks to my sister and niece visiting Melbourne, I wouldn’t have thought to explore this building, but I’m glad I did. The view from the tower provides an amazing 360-degree perspective.
