PORTO, PORTUGAL
On Afonso Martins Alho Street, one of Porto’s tiniest and narrowest roads, a stunning five-story mural by Spanish artist Liqen stands out. The artwork features a cat that harmonizes with the iconic blue and white azulejos typical of Portuguese architecture.
Amazing! I wonder what the cat is holding in his mouth.
I think the cat is carrying the weight of the building on its back and on the mouth is sort of also some part of the building or construction. I am not 100% sure what the true meaning is. Thanks for the interest.
It’s a great shot, Teresa. Love it!
Thanks Jo. Wonderful memories.
Ooh. I saw that cat when I was there. Quite difficult to photograph though.
Yes, I know. It’s hard to catch all the details because there were so many people too.
Love this

That’s such a coincidence Teresa, I have that exact same photo. I took it years ago when we had two nights in Porto. Beautiful isn’t it.
Yup, you won’t miss it because so many people are looking up staring at it.
I love this mural. I took a picture of it too. It wasn’t raining when I was there.
Haha i think it is one of the popular ones.
