Collingwood and Fitzroy are two of Melbourne’s most vibrant and hip inner-city suburbs. Known for their gritty industrial past, both areas have transformed into cultural hotspots filled with street art, independent boutiques, live music venues, and some of the city’s best cafés and bars.
Here are some incredible street art doors I came across while walking—some on the way to lunch and others on the way to dinner. Melbourne never fails to surprise with its creativity around every corner!

And a car fully covered with art.

In one of the laneways are surprise finds.

On the corner of Perry Street is Friends of the Earth, a cafe-grocer with a strong community vibe—and now, it’s been painted up with some striking artwork.

Tim and Leigh are here in Melbourne spending the first two weeks of their holiday in Fitzroy, the perfect spot to catch up with friends and soak up the vibrant energy of the area. It’s the go-to place for the young ones, buzzing with life, creativity, and plenty to do. But after that? They’re off to mum and dad’s for the final two weeks—where things might be a little less exciting… haha!

How amazing art 😍
Thanks Giuseppa for stopping by and for commenting.
Great street art. Thanks for sharing it.
My pleasure Rebecca. I am always happy to share my finds.
These are wonderful photos, Teresa. They are so bright and fun.
Thanks Dan.
I especially liked the colors on the last building.
It is so vibrant isn’t it.
Wonderful finds Teresa
There’s some great street art here, these artists. never fail to amaze me. The car is cool, imagine that parked in front of a wall painted the same 🙂
Fantastic and uplifting stuff!
Such vibrant colours! I love the beer drinker amd the yellow flowers and bees 🙂
They’ll have a grand time, Teresa. How could they not? Love the thoughtful beer drinker, but I have no chance of persuading Mick to do that with his car xx
That beer trinker is amazing (and it’s not because of his beverage of choice). I’m always amazed (in the best sense of the word) what street arts you’re finding!
Great photos Teresa! I especially love the car!
