This week, Leanne is hosting the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge, focusing on Tourist Attractions—a broad yet captivating theme.
To tackle this expansive topic, I’m categorizing my entries into places I cherish exploring.
To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things. as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.
I don’t travel often, so when I do, I make sure to visit the most iconic spots in major cities—it’s always a first-time experience for me.
I’m fascinated by old towns—their cobblestone streets, ancient architecture, narrow alleyways and the nostalgic ambiance that transports me to another era. Simply unforgettable.
I’m captivated by rooftops. They offer a unique perspective of cities, showcasing a blend of modern and historic architecture. It’s a serene escape where you can admire the cityscape and appreciate the beauty from above.
I’m constantly amazed by the beauty and history of castles during my travels. Their grandeur, ancient architecture, and stories from centuries past never fail to captivate me.
Nature and travel are inseparable for me. Exploring serene forests, majestic mountains, or pristine beaches brings me awe and tranquility. It allows me to disconnect and recharge while seeing the beauty of our world.
And lastly, traveling opens up a spectrum of colours that paint the world around us in vivid hues.
A wonderful gallery of holiday photos Teresa
Thanks a lot Brian
Teresa, you beautiful images make me want to travel to all these destinations! I enjoyed all the galleries, especially the last one with all the bright colors.
Thanks and glad that it somehow inspires you to go to these designations. Those bright colours just pop don’t they.
Glorious memories.
Definitely some wonderful memories that will forever be with me. Thanks VJ.
My pleasure
A great wander introduction to parts of Europe I don’t know.
Thanks for the comment Margaret. But maybe some of them you know, it is just from another person’s point if view.
Fair point. I’ll have another look …
Nicely grouped galleries 🙂 I think I enjoyed the old towns and the colour gallery most of all!
That’s me Sarah. Loving the old towns particularly and when some colourful art comes along with it, the better. Thanks for the comment.
Heavens, lass- you’ve done your share of travelling! And taken some fabulous photos.
Haha I could imagine you saying that comment. Thanks for that.
Wow Teresa, you have captured some incredible buildings. The architecture in that part of the world is amazing. I also love rooftops.
Rooftops are great, right! Thanks Leanne, glad you liked my entry to this week’s challenge.
Well it sure LOOKS like you travel extensively Teresa! Especially loved your colorful set at the end this week.
I haven’t really. I didn’t start travelling til later in life. So there are so much more to see in this world we live in. I hope I can still cope with all my aches and pains.
Thanks Tina for your comment.
