Monochrome Trees

“There is always Music amongst the trees in the Garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it.”

– Minnie Aumonier

This week is a “themed” Monochrome Madness  week, and Sarah at Travel With Me is hosting with the theme “Trees”.

For me, not all trees look good in monochrome, it has to have the shape, the character and the contrast. But all trees whispers serenity. When I look up through the trees, I see the tranquility in the foliage against the expanse of the sky.

Here are some trees taken from around Melbourne and Sydney.

And some trees taken from my travels in UK and Europe.

You’re right that not all trees look great in monochrome but you’ve got some examples here that certainly do! My absolute favourite is the one from Macedon Ranges – the texture of the bark and the sky are both perfect for this medium 😀 Thanks for joining the challenge!
