Windows in Montserrat

“Your desire to be near to window is your desire to be close to life!”
― Mehmet Murat ildan

Montserrat is a day trip that we took from Barcelona. Here are some awesome windows that can be found there.

Montserrat is a multi-peaked mountain range near Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is known for the Benedictine Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat Basilica , which is spectacularly beautiful.

I am sharing this for Ludwig’s Monday Windows

I have been organising my travel blog, so this post is synchronised with that … makes it easy for me to access it. And that too…I took a lot of photos that can last me a lifetime. Thanks for the comment my friend.

I was in Montserrat visiting a Spanish family with some other Spanish friends on the day Kennedy was assassinated (it was evening there if I remember) and I can remember the moment when the news came over the radio and the consternation of the family. They (grand-parents) lived on the top floor of the house, their children lived on the floor below and the ground-floor was occupied by the farm animals, cows etc. The idea was that the heat from them would provide extra warmth in the winter! Tradition.

Those triple windows with the stone carvings are very impressive, but that rock wall is stunning. Wow! Thank you!
